Make sure the relevant in-game settings are enabled. To install manually, download a filter file and save it to Diablo II\ProjectD2\filters\local and then select it from the launcher. These files will function if encoded in UTF-8 (default), but ANSI encoding is needed to allow special characters to display properly.įilters can be selected from the launcher and enabled via the in-game Settings menu. If a filter is selected from the launcher, it will be saved in ProjectD2\filters and be used instead via a loot.filter system link from the ProjectD2 directory. If loot.filter is present in the same directory, it will be used instead of the default file. The default filter only has a few simple rules for adding descriptions to some items (map orbs and stackable gems/runes), and otherwise displays all items the same as they would be in vanilla.īy default, filtering is done using default.filter in the ProjectD2 directory - unless changed, it only has a few simple rules. I’m tired of people like mrlama or dbowski having quality control of this game.Item filters (often called lootfilters) are text files which contain rules for describing how items should be displayed in-game. They really need to stop listening to these streamers and getting bold in making changes. And with most monsters being immune to lighting, well, there leaves very little to farm…pindle is the only viable option. My best item is a pair of 47 travs because I cannot farm anything efficiently due to lack of gear. I figured I would start with a javazon this ladder because I always start blizz sorc to farm gear. So any end game build that is not a hammerdin, will only really flourish with a lightning build. In addition, the ONLY immunity that infinity breaks is lighting.

Going Hybrid just makes it so you kill things a lot slower and is really not viable. it also forces you into playing only certain areas, or just playing a hammerdin. Can someone explain to me how a game, which is all about killing monsters and getting loot, stops you from killing 30% of the monsters? Just avoiding them defeats the entire point of this game.
